CNC Turner – Setter/Operator
Owing to business expansion and investment in new machinery, we are looking to recruit a skilled CNC Turner to join our existing team of 20+ high calibre operators.
Manufacturing precision components to Aerospace exacting standards and tolerances. Ideally have working experience of on-line programming of complex
geometries on Haas Lathes or Fanuc controlled machines and have served a recognised apprenticeship. We would ideally be looking for an engineer that possesses an agile and flexible skillset i.e. have experience of multiple disciplines - turning, milling, grinding etc.
Unfortunately candidates with experience of setting and operating on batch orientated work
will not be considered for this position due to level of technical knowledge required. A technical methodical approach to the work is most likely to succeed.
We also have a second option:
A prerequisite for both positions would be positive attitude, team player and enthusiastic.
The working week consists of Mon-Thurs 07.00-16.15 (30ins lunch), Fri 07.00-11.00 (no break).
12 to 14 GBP per hour based on experience.
Holiday entitlement is 25 days + statutory.
These positions are only entitled to statutory sick pay (SSP) in-line with the rest of the staff.

Job requirements
Skilled machinist requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years as a CNC Turner
- Familiar with Fanuc and/or Mazak controls
- Capable of reading technical drawings
- Experienced working to close tolerances
- ability to cover the shifts
- good work attitude
- interest to learn new things

Remuneration
- Working hours- 39 hours per week
- Full time
- Salary- £12 per hour
- Overtime available at £18 per hour (typically 5 hours per week)
- 32 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
